NFW President Richard Levine welcomed members and one guest to our new location, the Webb Library.
Richard reported that after an exhausting endeavor to reunite with FCCJ, he sent them an e-mail that we would no longer continue our efforts to return to the campus for our monthly meetings. Should we be given the opportunity to return, he will discuss it with the group.
The group unanimously voted to remain at the Webb Library as our monthly meeting place. We will meet at 2.
Ideas were discussed regarding
publicity for Saturday at 2. It was discussed and
approved to donate a copy of our book to the Webb library. Carrol mentioned
placing our book at Backwater Bookstore in
Howard Denson asked the group if they would like to donate $300 to the Novel Contest for the Writers’ Festival as we have done in the past. He will draft a letter requesting that NFW be allowed to set up a table at the festival.
Howard shared the specifics of his online creative writing course.
JoAnn and
Doris reported that their writings are published in
the current FCCJ yearly publication entitled, The Experience.
Richard reported that he would be traveling to NY for a film festival, where his film will be shown, along with other short films.
A memoir from Saturday at 2 was critiqued, along with the chapter from a novel.
A discussion followed about ways to research for writing a biography.
